The Tab is committed to excellence in hospitality, well-being for all, and addressing the results of deprivation in Tower Hamlets and Hackney. Our Better Living Projects provide support for some of the most neglected groups in society.

They include:
• Just Start for women prisoners. Women prisoners come to us as they prepare for release, often after long sentences. We offer an introduction to the workplace and support for families and housing.
• Tab People for the homeless and vulnerable. Homelessness, alcohol and drug addiction affect many people in the Shoreditch area. Tab People offers support and friendship with a good breakfast for a variety of vulnerable people. We keep in touch with some people over many years and share with them their struggle to get off addictions and into a more stable way of life.
• Contact Point and Lunch Club. This is a busy and special group that offers exciting activities for the over 60’s. Nutritious meals, informative meetings and fun address issues of isolation and loneliness.
• Coffee Mornings. An easy way to meet people, engage in a bit of bring and buy and raise some money for charity. Bringing together anyone and everyone in the Tab this is great way of crossing social divisions and making new friends.
• Secure home. The Tab is able to offer a one bedroom cottage through a social housing scheme.
